How to choose.
Crepe paper tape is what most people picture as 'masking tape', and in a body shop it does the bulk of the work: edging panels, holding masking paper and film, and covering trim. The creped (micro-pleated) paper structure gives it stretch, which lets it follow contours and seal edges that a flat backing would bridge.
The economics of coverage
On a whole-vehicle mask, tape consumption is measured in rolls, not centimetres, so the per-metre economy of crepe paper matters. Reserve premium washi for the visible color-break lines and use crepe for everything structural: paper attachment, reverse masking, apertures and general protection. That split is how efficient shops keep both quality and cost in line.
Grades and temperature
Automotive-grade crepe tapes in our range are formulated for refinish bake cycles — check the grade's rating against your booth schedule. Higher-temperature crepe grades exist for tougher duty, but for true industrial oven masking, film tapes remain the correct tool.

Specify width and quantity; common widths from 18 mm to 48 mm ship from stock. For shops standardising consumables we can bundle crepe, washi, film and die-cuts into a single recurring kit.
