What is a liquid or peelable maskant?

A liquid maskant is a brush-on, dip, or spray-applied coating that cures into a flexible, removable film. It's the go-to solution for masking shapes and areas that are impractical to cover with tape or molded plugs - machined bores, cast surfaces, glass, or large irregular parts.

Dip, brush or spray - which application method fits my process?

Dip application suits high-volume parts with a consistent geometry submerged in a tank. Brush application is best for small runs or touch-up masking on specific features. Spray application covers large flat areas quickly with a controlled film thickness.

How long does the maskant need to cure before coating?

Cure time varies by formulation, from a few minutes for thin films to a few hours for heavier dip coatings. Confirm cure time against your line's cycle time before switching from tape-based masking.
