How it is made & specified.
This crepe paper masking tape is built for automotive refinish and spray-paint work, where a sharp paint line and clean removal matter more than raw temperature rating. It is rated to 150°C without the paint line bleeding under the tape edge.
Fine-line and washi-paper tapes conform to curves better than PET film, which is why they're the default choice for body panel edges, trim lines and two-tone paint breaks. Crepe paper backing is the more economical, general-purpose option; rice paper (washi) backing gives an even sharper line for fine-detail work.
This tape is designed for single-use removal after paint or clear coat has cured - pulling it at the correct angle and within the stated removal window avoids lifting fresh paint at the tape edge.
